Cookie statement

What cookies are, what they are used for, and what this website stores in your browser.

1. About cookies

Websites use smart and useful techniques to make them more convenient and as interesting as possible for every visitor. One of the best-known techniques involves cookies. Cookies are small text files that websites save on users' computers. The information in cookies can also be used to track your browsing across different websites that use the same cookie. Cookies are classified by their duration and by who sets them.

We believe it is important to inform you about the cookies our website uses and the purposes for which they are used. The aim is threefold – to safeguard your privacy and convenience as well as possible, and to ensure the website works properly.

2. How Miško draugas uses cookies

We use cookies and browser storage to remember your choices while you browse the website and to improve your experience of using it. Visitor statistics cookies are used only if you consent in the cookie banner.

3. Cookies and their functions

Different types of cookies are used for different purposes.

3.1. Session cookies

A session cookie is stored temporarily in your computer's memory while you browse the website. Session cookies are not stored for long – they disappear when you close your browser.

3.2. Persistent or tracking cookies

A persistent cookie saves a file on your computer for a long time; this type of cookie has an expiry date. Persistent cookies help websites remember your information and preferences for future visits. When the expiry date passes, the cookie is automatically removed.

3.3. First-party cookies

These are set by the website itself (the same domain as in the browser's address bar) and can be read only by that website. They are typically used to save your preferences.

3.4. Third-party cookies

These are set by domains other than the one shown in the browser's address bar, i.e. not by the website owners – for example, map or statistics service providers. Because third-party cookies allow browsing habits to be analysed in more detail, most browsers let you change your settings and refuse them.

4. What this website stores in your browser

The website does not use tracking cookies. Only two entries are stored in your browser's memory, and they are never sent to the server:

NameInformation storedPurposeExpires
md-temaChosen light or dark themeRemember how to display the pageUntil deleted
md-slapukaiYour answer in the cookie bannerStop showing the cookie noticeUntil deleted

If you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner, visitor statistics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics) may be enabled if they are configured on the website. If you choose “Essential only”, the website works exactly the same. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this website's data in your browser.

The badges of the Lithuanian TOP Company Register (topimones.lt) appear in the footer of every page, and the reputation card on the About us page. The badges are served by our own server, so your browser does not contact topimones.lt for them. The card is loaded directly from topimones.lt – it is script-free HTML and sets no cookies, but loading it means your IP address reaches their server.
